I've survived another Monday and the 2x2 turn is off to my partner.  Time for the Hurricanes game on DVR.

Hey, it worked for me. I'm married to a veterinarian. Apparently, she found this sort of pillow talk at best intriguing, at worst tolerable.

Great googly moogly!! The thought of rectal palpatation by an entire arm.......

Hey, it ain't great for the palpator either buddy, I can tell you that much. Not much of a view from there, and the air...well...

Although, truth be told, when it's cold out, at least one arm is guaranteed to be warm.

Tom Label is hoping that you're wrong... though his team just lost their big lead in the Iron Bowl.

Brad - don't ever mention this again! I still can't get to sleep at night. If you think Saban had steam coming out of his ears during the press conference, you should have seen me the last two days. Just don't get it!!!! But, hey, next year will be better!

JOHN - so glad you are enjoying Alabama!!!

At least you can say that the state of Alabama has (hopefully for Auburn) had two National Champions in consecutive years!!!! Bye, bye Florida!!!!

Awww... Tom, it's hard for this Georgia Bulldog to find himself feeling very sorry for ya! Look at our past few seasons...

I will, however, agree with the sentiment in your last sentence (not that my team has had any luck over those dadgum Gators!).

Also, after about 10-15 years of absolute crap, my faith in the ability of post-Soviet nations to make movies about WW2 has finally been restored.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hj96Ahlcak0&feature=related

I dont know if it is possible to get it with subtitles, but if you have the chance I highly recommend it. No politicizing or moralizing, just the real, terrible, awful reality of war. The story is all absolutely true, down to every single episode. My father was a tour guide there in his younger days and has told me many things that he himself, and other staff, learned in speaking with the survivors. He met the hero of the story as well.

My hat's off to the film makers at Belarusfilm.

Brother Onime - have you seen 6 part documentary (done for victory day 2010) - "Velikaja Voina"?

No. Gotta check it out.

Edit: any idea where I can find it?

Here it is (it was aired on Russian TV and later availabe on DVDs)...

10,000 tonnes of metal is going to bring the knackers out of the woodwork for access to all that lovely steel. Pity.

i seem to remenber an old reporter show on TV about huge ships-cemetary in Pakistan were old ships are slowly cut in pieces to sell the steel.

To start answering and go off on a massive tangent before sauntering back to the original question briefly before totally losing interest and achieving a UNP or Faber.

Pfft, you call that snow. In my day we were glad of the snow. It were better than walking the 54 miles to the coal mine outside Harrogate in bare feet across boiling lava to work 18 hours down the mine before leaving the mine and walking another 16 miles to school. Of course in them days we were grateful for the chance to walk across lava and snow in our bare feet, we were lucky to even have feet. Course, anything less than 18 feet of snow was just a light dusting, we didn't call it snow until it were above the tops of t' trees.

Not only that, but we still had time to be respectful to us elders. And no-one ever had to lock their doors on account of thieves not being invented yet. And don't get me started on this so-called modern music. Or modern food.

I finally folded and bought Last Stand Arnhem.

1800 on the first day and it's going alright(ish).  St Odenroede, Veghel, Grave, Blankenberg, Heumen and the Arnhem Rail bridges are all under Allied control.  Fritz managed to blow up the bridges at Best and Son though

Not a quote as such. It's a general theme common to the older generation Especially common amongst those from Yorkshire, Englands most annoying county.
