I have a very serious problem. Ise and Hyuga were in Kure for their 10/43 upgrade. They were still repairing damage from upgrade in shipyard when they suddenly conerted to hybrid battleship/carriers at december the first 1943. I was sure that I need to confirm the conversion manually just as for other ship types. And since I do not want to do that is there any way to stop the conversion? Problem is that they are drydocked and if I Undrydock them the turn before are they going to convert anyway? Is there anything I can do? And to my horror two Fuso class BBs are also there upgrading and their conversion is also very close

For those that aren't already converting (it's an upgrade driven conversion)- have you got upgrades turned "off" on the individual ship data page?

For those that are already converting- I believe you're buggered. Only thing I could suggest would be to try and pull them out to readiness to see if that stops the conversion.

So, there is nothing I can do? I have only previous turn save.... What if I mess with the database and change conversion dates a bit and then update scenario? Woul'd thet work?

If it's not a stock scenario that might work. Just give them a conversion option to either the previous ship along the upgrade path, or probably safer, to a new class that is a perfect copy of the previous class along the upgrade path. If it is a stock scenario you have a problem, they can not be changed.

Short of turning off the 1943 upgrades to Ise and Hyuga there is nothing you can do for those two (which is truly assinine in my opinion, there should be an option to convert to a pure BB upgrade line if the player desires it...if you don't get Midway'ed, there is no point in converting them!).

Fuso and Yamashiro are player choice conversions IIRC, so you have to physically convert them yourself.

Changing the database for a scenario underway won't change anything.  The saved file contains all the database information needed after start, so the game does not refer back to the scenario database again.

So the last official patch with the DB update is an exception ?

We do have some code to update a game in progress if the DB changes, but it only works for the official scenarios we created.  (It would be too easy to cheat with a user made scenario in PBEM, so it isn't possible with non-official scenarios).  The update code changes the saved game to match the database.
