I keep getting a error saying it wont load an FTP file.

I had the same problem. Go to the home page and on the right hand side you will see "downloads". Get it from there. This is the first time I haven't been able to get it from the game screen but based on other posts it seems to be a common problem. I also had to turn off my anti-virus and my parental filter.

I am running windows 7.
