Is this based upon the same Star Sentinel game I used to play, oh almost 20 years ago now? I remember a very crude graphical game then but the mechanics of it all had me hooked for hours on end.

Hi Joram,

I'm not aware of any "Star Sentinel" game from around 20 years ago, so it's definitely not based on that. It draws inspiration from the likes of Rebelstar Raiders, Laser Squad, Jagged Alliance and Incubation, if those are any guide.

Hi Doomtrader,

It's similar to the tactical combat sections of XCom and UFO, but it's much more narrative-driven than either of those, and does not have the broad strategic overview elements.

It is sad that you removed role playing rules like level ups and increasing stats and that you can't design your own characters.

I love turn based tactical combat but this is too limited for me.
