Matrix is HQ'ed in Texas IIRC, so I look for it to be out between Noon-5PM CST personally.

Hey Pilgrim!  How bout you rustle us up an expansion!!  Along with a passel jerkey!!    That is when you aren't fighting off a cartel raid along the border.

It's strange, I only got this game a few days ago, and only by accident as I knew nothing about it whatsoever. then a freind of mine out of the blue gives me his copy because he didn't like it. Now here I am ready to purchase the expansion to a game I didn't know existed 4 days ago.

It's a pretty awesome game and when we can start making maps, scenarios and proper mods for it... Wow... It's going to be on a whole different level.

It's strange somehow I bought the game a few days ago started about four different games to get a grip on tactics then I read about the forthcoming expansion and stopped playing. Now I won't continue playing not until I have the new tech tree and all the UI improvements and carriers and fighters and... and... and...

So right now I'm missing the right words for my anticipation for the upcoming release of the expansion!!!

Can't wait

Here's another waiting soul! I must confess I have not played a lot of DW yet cause I was missing features this expansion pack is going to add!
I am quite excited to see what the new DW will do for me!

I know exactly how you feel. To start a new game of the "original" would seem like a waste of time at the moment.
I'd be thinking "but I wouldn't do this in the exansion" or...""I'd add these once I get the expansion"

Argghh.

Can't wait (but I'll have to)

Here in the UK that would be after 5:00pm - and more likely mid/late evening

That's fine :)

Hi everyone, so far we are full speed ahead and it looks good for a release this afternoon as planned. It's now just after noon on the East Coast of the US and we expect to release between now and 5PM.

FYI, we have three offices now as Matrix and Slitherine combined. One is in Colorado in the US, one is in Vermont in the US and one is in the UK, whereas our store partner Plimus is on the West Coast of the US in California and Oregon. We also have staff and development teams around the world, including Elliot in New Zealand so it's really hard to pin down a particular time zone for us. With that said, the Vermont office where I am handles the product development and production side, so we generally release on a US Eastern time schedule.

I'd also like to ask those of you who are willing, once the expansion is released, to please help us spread the word on other game forums and sites that you may frequent as many of you did for the original release. Every little bit helps and helps us make sure that Distant Worlds will have many more new features and improvements in the future.

Regards,

- Erik

I already spread the word through my friends, and in my EVE Online corporation (250 members!) about the game. Some were very intrested, and wanted to buy the game. Especially since it has a reduction in price now.
