Road to Minsk. Points total. Normal difficulty. Patch - Beta 5.

According to this, the Soviet Union held on to Mogilev and Vitebsk for 4 turns which I has to be wrong, correct? I captured Vitebsk on my 2nd turn and kept it the rest of the time. I captured Mogilev on the 3rd turn and kept it for the rest of the scenario. I almost want to say I captured Zhlobin on my 2nd turn , too, which means I wouldn't think the Soviets would get credit for holding it for 2 turns?

I am going to forward this on our internal testing forum as I witnessed some scoring anomalies in the Operation Blue campaign as well.

You won and you still complain about scoring.  Please give your (AI?) opponent a break.

When you mis-score me, you negate me!

This has come up many times before although it is clearly stated in the manual. Victory points are scored each player-turn so they are scored twice each complete turn. Unless you have a series of saves that shows points are clearly adding too often, I'll assume this is just a misunderstanding of the rules.

By the way, this is obviously a case of something so many of us are used to being done one way, that we just miss the fact that it is done differently. I'd say at least half our testers missed this as well. We probably should have had a very big callout in the manual so it would be very hard to miss.

Well, I accept that.  Except for one thing.  I'm almost positive that I took Vitebsk on a different turn.  I do have a save game and I'm going to reload it and take a look.

Also, if you look at the thread in general called Road to Minsk, Emir Agic scored very similar to mine, but better.  According to that, the Soviets had 30 points for Vitebsk and Mogilev.  Does that mean he took them on his second turn?

But, I'll check a little.  I'm not sure if I'm wrong based on what you have posted.

Yes. No scoring on first-player turn of scenario (since their is no logistics phase), so 15 scored in Soviet turn 1, and 15 scored at the start of the German turn 2. That would be 30 if taken in German turn 2.

Ok, that answers it. Thanks.  It may seem that I did not read the manual, but I can't remember everything I read!
