Guys from Code Force - you are killing me. I bought Return of the Shakturi at 11:00 PM (local time) and of-course I want to test it. I stop playing at 5:45 AM, and slept only 2 hours and goto work. I totally stop watching real time - the game is too great.
Of course I'm very tired and I'm working very slowly - my boss is not happy (but he did not know about Distant World) :-)

Please in next patch implement feature, that Galactic Event appear at 2:00 AM (local player time): "YOU MUST STOP PLAYING AND GOTO BED". And second event at 2:30: "I'M SERIOUS - IF YOU NOT STOP IMMEDIATELY THEN BAD UGLY SHAKTURI WILL EAT YOU!"

This feature can be enabled/disabled in the Game Options. Thank you :-) (but really similar feature can be useful - for example display local (computer) time somewhere in GUI for example).

No overrated all is true. Display time can be usefull feature (I know I can press Alt+Tab and check time in taskbar but .... I must rule my empire I do not have time to Alt+Tab).

Ya know, a setting to auto-save then shut the game down at a specific time might not be a bad thing either. 1 AM hits, the game saves then exits to desktop...a rather obvious hint.

I just want to voice my appreciation on this thread - this expansion is a vast improvement in so many ways and the game just feels like it flows much better. Well done and thank you Elliot and Erik! You've done an amazing job and listened closely to the fans.

To play, or not to play: that is the question:
Should I sleep 8 hours and will not play DW: RotS
Or should I sleep 2 hours tonight again and spend lovely DW time?
To die by sleep deprivation, to sleep?
Erik The Great can answer this question.

Well, if it comes down to that, he who sleeps lives to game another day.

Ok I understand - it is bad for business to let your customers die :-)

Another question: Do you plan to add some nice statistics windows (you know different graphs for population , military strenght etc)? I love to watch history of my empire and compare it to others races.

As stated so well in the movie "Men In Black"....we must all change over and
get accustomed to "GCT - Galactic Central Time".

Me personally, I'll sleep when I'm dead! I finally have the space strategy game
of all time I've been waiting for.

GREAT JOB ELLIOT, ERIK AND THE CREW!

Plenty of time to sleep when you're dead!

Don't do what I did once... pass out after so many hours of gaming through the night only to wake up to find a keyboard print on your head.

I gamed at a convention some years ago for 43 hours straight (I was a kid then) only bathroom breaks and food. Got home and slept for 18 plus hours straight without even getting up to go to the bathroom.

So none of these sleep deprivation complaints impress me...

MOO3 had a built in alarm system you could set to alert you when it was time to stop playing. I never used it, but it was there for the player's "health". The developers knew we would have a problem with time management. DW has really challenged me to be disciplined with my time. Just play a little longer....
