After a hasty attack, why can't the attacking unit stay selected?

You have to wait till the combat UI update is all complete and then reselect the unit and then move it. Even with all combat feedback turned off, you still have to wait for the display update to complete before you can reselect the unit. There is some UI delay in allowing you to reselect the unit you just attacked with. I find myself clicking the unit multiple times to get it reselected. When attacking with dozens of units one by one, this can be tedious and take more time then needed.

Even with the latest update the mouse clicking for managing units doesn't seem to be very optimized - and this is the task the user is spending the bulk of their time on.

Please reduce the mouse effort needed to move and attack with units. Thanks.

Agreed! Units should stay selected until you de-select or click on something else. I also dread moving FBD's through stacks because i have to deselect all the other units on the hex before i can move it.

Unless there is a compelling reason otherwise.

Agreed...the mouse problems compounded by this bassackwards management of the stacks is a pill; the game is great but the ergometrics of playing are frustrating.

+1. Also, it would be great to cycle through the stacks on the map.

while we're at it, why not allow us to select one unit in a stack, and deselect the others, by double-clicking on the unit we want? It is tedious to have to click on the two units we DON'T WANT in a three unit stack.

Agree.

And moving a single unit through other units, one by one, shouldn't automatically select the unit that was already in that hex.

I can't hardly wait for the next version.
