Hello,
I found two bugs in my game - first one have bigger severity then second.

1. Colony build bug
I attacked home world of my enemy and capture it - it is colony "021 Arbra 1" - 15 billions of inhabitants. I start build Large spaceport immediately, but even after few weeks spaceport was still not done and it is stopped at 99% (1 incomplete part)
Meanwhile I planned to colonize many planets so build queue of that colony was filled by 28 Colony ships (waiting for construction).
I also saw that approx. 130 different ships waiting to dock on that colony - so I think that one of those ships have on board missing part.\ and this is the reason why spaceport was not finished.
But I want to solve this issue so I scrap nearly completed spaceport and put it into queue again.
I played many months (maybe years) then I check if all was constructed on that colony - and what surprise - queue is still full (30 projects now) - no one ship was completed and first colony ship was stuck at 95% (only 1 incomplete part). But now no ship is waiting to dock - so there is definitely a bug - I can't complete any project on that big colony.
And even worse it is blocked many colony ships in its queue. Due this my empire grows slowly.
After some time I captured another 15 billion colony and construct here was without any problems. Only that colony "021 Arbra 1" have still bug.


2. Retrofit bug
I periodically retrofitting ships to new models - but I saw that one ship can't be retrofitted. It is Constructor "11 Anurbes Impulse". When I select it and press Retrofit button under Ship info window then nothing happens.
When I select the ship in ship list windows and press Retrofit button then I can choose what design will be used and after it nothing happens.
Ship is in deep space, it have full fuel tank and it have all systems in 100%. When I press button for refuel, then ship immediately go to nearest spaceport - so there is not problem with engines or something.
Ship simply can't be retrofitted and I do not know why. Other ships (even same constructor ships) can be retrofitted without troubles.

Please analyze where problems are.

Something to try:
Move the ship next to a planet that has a space port, and has little in the planetary queue (not, for example, 50 colony ships queued - either due to a bug or a new tech - just check to be sure). When it's next to it, THEN try to do the refit. And no, don't zoom to the planet and try to "retrofit at..." - you have to move it THERE.

I had the same issue. It seems it tries to use the NEAREST planet with a space port - and if that planet is "too busy" - it just dumps the whole command. I think it's related to the search for an appropriate place to do the retrofit.

I forgot to say one important thing for retrofit bug - the ship have empty goal queue - I press Stop button and then Clear queue - but it was not helps.


That post about nearest planet with spaceport and with full build queue is very interesting - I will try it.

No no no - without a full build queue. Make sure it isn't overrun with queued items. I found this to be a factor. Just take some reasonably well supplied planet which isn't churning out dozens of colony ships (or such). Move it next to it, "press refit at nearest".

That should work. If it doesn't, then you have a different problem from what I experienced.

FYI - these bugs are fixed in the upcoming update for ROTS. This will be available in a few days time.

Thank you elliot (and other developers).

If you have time please can you describe what happens that the colony can't construct anything to the end? I'm curious what was happens - why it happens only to this one colony. It should be some combination of conditions - it can be interesting to know what combination.
