No no... Its a Rat which is related to our friend Onime, which would make it a 'Toadie'.

Hmmm.....rats are mammals, toads are amphibians. I know you guys down under can be a bit slow but this is basic biology.

I wouldn't disagree.

Me neither. Which is a wonderful thing. Its not good to be as stuck on yourselves as we Americans are.

Agreed. That's what makes us so loveable.

Edited; Forgot to say that we're also the humblest guys in the universe

Apparently none of your neighbors like you guys. Now I'm actually surprised that you guys havent been more in tune with how Russia felt for the last 1000 years or so.

Just some old family quarrel.

Whatever.....can you fix my computer? (It's another stereotype from the cartoons).

As the saying goes, comrade Red mouse, "The early bird (chicken) gets the UNP." All right, so it doesn't have much ring to it, but there 'ya go.

Mrs. McDull fell off her bicycle on Sunday and dislocated her shoulder. Her description of the popping noise when the doctor shoved it back into place will stay with me for some time...

I choose not to think about a shoulder being shoved back into place.

T, what was the weather like there on Sunday?  I would expect that it would require a very hardy soul to ride a bike this time of year.

It wasn't too bad (just above freezing and sunny), but the roads were still slippery. Good thing she didn't smash her head into the ground or fracture anything.

She'd called in sick Monday and Tuesday, came to work today, and had to leave for the rest of the week after about 90 minutes.

Midweek dirge tithe

I think Rammstein just won the award for all time most basic rock n roll song.

I was just listening to "Atom Bomb". The lyrics aren't overly complicated.

Several years back when I was working for Klein Bicycles, we had Lisa Lamereaux move into our neighborhood. She was the defending women's veteran mountain bike world champion, so we took her under our sponsorship wing. That fall at the world championships she crashed early in the race and dislocated her shoulder. Being an orthopedic surgeon, she popped her shoulder back into socket and went on to finish in second place! Now, that's a tough cookie!!

The following winter our founder and president, Gary Klein, had a wipeout on skis and tore his MCL. His surgeon of choice? Lisa, of course...

I don't think they'll hold a candle to the lyrics in their song. "P***y"

dear thread, please forgive my father...he has purchased 250,000 iraqi dinar in the hopes that any day now, the world will recognize the new government, revalue it's currency and he will become a rich man...well...forgive him, then allow for the revaluation...

Cool, was reading about the Saratoga campaign a couple of weeks ago. I assume the lake is related to the family of the general of the same name.

Hope you don't have any blizzards in the forecast.

One of my best friends (and a former college roommate) is Richard Philip Schuyler George... yes, he is a direct descendant of Gen't Philip Schuyler. His dad was in the Air Force when they moved to Georgia. Nowadays Sky lives in Sonoma county, so he and I get together more frequently than we do with any of our other college friends.

Sorry, I didn't notice this before. Thanks for the information. Always interesting to see how long historical families last.

The one that made me cringe was reading about some bloke who dislocated his hip. When they popped it back in one of his testicles got caught up

Kind of like a grating, popping, crinkling, sliding wet thud/pop?
