In the south am fighting to hold the river but will probably lose it as he fought across and I couldn't drive him back. Will fall back next turn regardless as the front farther north probably will not hold. A couple of comments so far. One thing it is taking me time to get the feel of is that you never see the enemy move, all you have are the battle reports. They are fine but don't really give you the feel of how your enemy is moving his troops. Maybe this never happened in the real war but I would think you would have some Intel and recon to show troops moving. Not a real problem, just something to get used too. Soviet reinforcements are really plentiful, far more than even i was expecting, and I have read alot on this front. Of course i have not suffered the same casualties as the Russians did historically, so many of my divisions are closer to TOE than they probably were in real life. If you play the german side, you REALLY NEED to kill Russians any chance you get. Command and Control for Russian side is very difficult early on, there are so many changes from turn to turn it is very easy to overload HQ's and leave others commanding nothing. Using the commander report has made this much easier. I always check it before I end the turn to make sure things are not to far out of control. You can make many changes right from that report, which does cut down on the micro management. I cannot speak for my opponent, but i really am enjoying the game so far, it is challenging as heck and even if you lose you will enjoy the ride.
