My opponent reports some problems to do the turn resolution for our current turn. We already tried to do the turn again but it still fails as a lot of things which should happen do not occur and the game crashes.

Possible resulted to the beta. We are currently running the last non beta release and tried to avoid switching to the beta. Dont want to kill my PBEM. Thank you for your effort to test and we will upgrade.

Ok there seems to be a more servere problem.

1.) I uploaded the wrong savegame as with all the retries of the turns its sometimes hard to track the right one.
2.) We upgraded to the latest beta patch
3.) The game still crashes when the japanese side tries to do the turn resolution

I hope my opponent launched the correct .exe (of the patch) and it should be the turn of 8/6/1943 which i will upload now. I cannot check it any more but i hope it is the correct save.

To clearify, the first savegame in my first post was the wrong one (old one). The new attached is the one which crashes even under the latest patch.

I tried it with 1108c and a newer one. I didn't a crash on either.
The save is from 1108c so the Allied player must be using that.

If the Japanese player loads the save, then he should get a warning message if he's version isn't the same.
Actually, if any warning messages come up then something is not the same between the 2 players.

Mhhh ok, we will try again and i will ask if my opponent can directly upload the turn and give you more information what he is doing and how he is doing it.

I am the allied player and my opponent Tomasic is the japanese one.

Hi,

I am opponent of beppi, so I will comment more what happen. I play witp on my notebook (W XP) for long time without any problem. From time to time there were small graphic issues, but nothing serious. The game never stopped. When playing the turn indicated by Beppi, the game has frozen immediately when loaded - just initial Japan map appeared. It was serious - even XP collapsed and hard restart was necessary. We applied beta patch (see above), but the result was the same. I tried different combinations (I use different resolutions on monitors, etc), but nothing worked. Other turns worked well, it means that it was the problem with the particular turn.
Finally, I installed AE to new notebook with W7. It worked under beta patched, I did not try standard patch. However, there were graphical issues during turn resolution (overlapping of images, screen covered by lines except of active window with animation or combat report, etc). Then I played normally, but again there were some issues - letter "h" dissapeared, some figures overlapped others... Now we will make one more turn to see whether it continue well or not.
It was my first serious problem with AE, but it seems it has been solved. I will inform you what happen next.
