No one is going to take you seriously unless you use the work "Borked" at least 2 times in your rants.

Oh, sorry.....borked, borked, borked, borked, borked, borked, borked, borked. There.

Text updates from Atlanta indicate a 5-2 win in game 1 of the tournament!

This is strange.  I've only not gone to one other tournament over the last 4 seasons.

Grey Saturday Tithe... Oh well, at least I've lost eight pounds in the past six weeks; that's not to be sneezed at...

Fantastic!

I've decided to forego a specific pound target to reach, because that's almost a recipe for disappointment.

Instead, I'll concentrate on changing the balance of body fat to muscle tissue in favour of the latter (reverse of what it is now). With a clean bill of health, I can take as long as I like, and do it on my own terms.

Bodyfat % is a much better way to monitor progress than just weight.  You will be adding muscle weight at the same time you are dropping fat weight.

Exactly. That's why nobody uses BMI any more. If the body fat percentage is good, then there's nothing wrong with a healthy human male of 6'6" weighing 210-220 pounds.

It will likely be the balance of the day, Mike. Updates and futzing with the production model will take some time today. So solly.

If it does, it would be terribly unfair. A Volvo 240 is way cooler than a Nova.

Or so the USN/USA/USAF/USMC would like you to belive. Unfortunately , there's only one truly accurate way to measure (displacement) and that's too much bother for the US government. It's sooooooo much easier to hassel people with "tape measure roulette".

Sorry mate, working through it but I've got to fit our game into the 3 hours I get between getting home and going to bed along with eating, getting a wash, spending some time with the wife, putting Josh to bed and anything else that needs doing.
With any luck you'll have something tomorrow.

In the early 90's I drove a '76 Nova with a straight 6 engine and a "bench" style front seat. Massive cool points when you crank up the Steve Miller Band in that car.

The RAF are the same (and I presume the RN). I'm not sure about the Army, I can't see anyone wanting to tell many of the Fijians that they're fatties

Lets face it though, anyone in the military who is employed with maintaining the fitness of the rest of the force is
(A) Not going to use anything that might put them out of a job by making more of us 'fit'.
(B) Not smart enough to use anything more complicated than a tape measure...

Reg, glad to hear that all of your family is safe! Your statement above is so true. The next several months are when they could use all of the media attention to encourage people to contribute their time and resources to the cleanup effort. Sadly, that doesn't boost ratings, so.....

It hasn't been a problem so far, hopefully motivation will keep up.... Video: Sludge_Army

I think the crunch will come when they need tradesmen (and lots of them) to repair the damage properly.
