Well I've tried to install and run some new scenarios per Don's instructions and must have lost something in the translation because I have not got one to run yet! Let me clarify that they don't work if I renumber them. If I down load them, and unzip them directly into the WAW scenarios folder, they run fine. However when I unzip them into the temp folder I created in the WAW folder, renumber them, and copy the renumbered files to the WAW scenarios folder they do not work. They appear in the scenarios list under the number I gave but when you click on them you get nada zip zero. I renumber by highlighting each .dat, .cmt, and .txt file individually, riht click, rename and then type scen067.cmt(then enter). Slot 67 is empty in my game. I'll then do scen067.dat and scen067.txt. Yes I'm carefull to make sure the .cmt is the .cmt I'm renaming etc. I then highlite all three renumbered files hit edit then copy to folder which is the WAW scenarios folder.(using windows ME) What the heck am I doing wrong!!! Thanx for the help.

Bthom: I'll give you my procedure even tho it sounds like just what your doing...Download to Desktop, Unzip on desktop, Renumber (3 files individually), Select all Copy (drag) to scenario folder. This has worked for me. I hope this system works for you also, even tho it seems like what your doing. When renaming remember to be case sensitive and dot concious (just change the number is what I'm trying to say. Try another number 67 may be contaminated somehow....Good Luck ------------------ Sm th Sailing...chief [This message has been edited by chief (edited December 17, 2000).]

Bthom: Make sure you are not changing the size of the .cmt file. I did this without realizing the impact. Real simple: Change the size, nothing will make the scenario run. Otherwise, recheck your renumbering, try again, it should work, always does for me too. Bing

Just in case you hadn't done so, note the version number the scenario is for. If it's for an older version, you may have to load the scenario into the editor, change the weather, save the scenario back to it's slot, then re-edit the weather back to what it was originally. Re-save again and it should work.

bthom, The only differences I see in what you are doing is: The renaming. I don't know if it makes a difference, but there is no need to type in the whole file name. If the name is "scen090.cmt" and you want "scen067.cmt", just right-click, hit "rename", then highlight the "90" and type "67". Then I right-click all three files, hit "cut" or "copy", and put in the Scen folder. You said you hit "edit" and then "copy", and I don't have any option for that! If you zip them straight in to the Scen folder and they work, then you are changing something and I think you're doing it in the renaming. Give it a try just changing the numbers and see what happens! Don

Good. Always be sure your scenarios have the same file name, changing only the numbers. And there must be three numbers in each file. If you do that, they should show up fine. Wild Bill ------------------ In Arduis Fidelis Wild Bill Wilder Coordinator, Scenario Design Matrix Games
