This may sound like a real silly question, but...

Is it possible to set the game to allow the computer to play both sides of a scenario? Sometimes you can learn a lot about a game by using this approach.

Thanks in advance!

Great! What's the procedure to make it work?

By the way, as someone who played the original War in the East with all the cardboard counters and the gigantic maps, this version exceeds all of my expectations! Very well done!

And I think that you can stop the game and take one side whenever you want. If you wait until one side is on the verge of collapse, and then you try to revert the situation, you can have a thrilling experience playing versus the AI...

I wish there was a way to make the AI-AI games stop at a pre-determined time, though - I'd love the idea of having it play automatically until something like early Oct 41, then taking over from the German AI, as sort of a way to form your own alt-history variant

Yep... it works I and others have played many many grand campaigns AI vs. AI during WitE ALPHA/BETA testing... that was the only way to see in normal time how the game unfolds (Human vs. Human or Human vs. AI takes time - on my rig I can finish AI vs. AI in few days of non-stop playing)!

There is!

Just enable autosaves and then just stop the AI vs. AI at the point you want and load the savegame file you like...
