ORIGINAL: Grollub Just bought WitE. Downloading now. Not that I need it right now, but a friend of mine needed some computer support buying it, so I "happened" to buy it at the same time Congrats! BTW, resistance is futile! Leo "Apollo11" My list of Matrix games is starting to get respectable - should tell something about how satisfied I am with their games and support Close Combat - Cross of Iron Close Combat - Last Stand Arnhem Close Combat - Wacht am Rhein Close Combat: The Longest Day Empires in Arms Gary Grigsby's War in the East: The German-Soviet War 1941-1945 Norm Koger's The Operational Art of War III War In The Pacific War in the Pacific - Admiral's Edition Per, I really enjoyed the Close Combat series when they came out about 10 years ago. Have Matrix's "retreads" held up over time? Worthwhile buys? IMO, yes. I bought the Wacht am Rhein game when it came out as I really enjoyed the original CC Battle of the Bulge (don't remember what number it had). It had some smaller issues at first (esp the path finding), but as always, it was quickly patched up to a really good level. I still play it - I have a campaign running and do some battle at times when I need a break from AE To be honest, I haven't tried the others yet - I bought them all when MG had one of those weekend offers at a rebate. But, judging from the quality of the WaR game, I have no fears that they wouldn't be worthwhile buys.
