I'm interested in this, but can't work out where to put it / which database etc. to use

Could you tell me which database ? - then presumably I can put the file in the scenario/tutorial folders beyond that.
I might be being a bit slow but what I've tried so far doesn't seem to work (ANW DB 2.4.3, Harpoon 3 "standard", HUD3 1.5.0) with the 3.10.1.0 release version,

Hmm, not sure what I'm doing wrong.

I select the HUD3 database, and I can load the scenario fine in the scenario editor.
When I try to load it in the game itself it tells me the database signature and scenario signature don't match, so aborts.

Chris,

It's probably caused by the update/patch or a mixup somewhere with the shipped scenario versions and the current HUD3. Like everyone else I was hit by the expiry issue and received the latest game execs about the time everyone else started downloading the update.

I'll make an effort to rebuild/update the Tutorial Battleset to the just released 3.10.1 Game version, and ensure it's rebuilt with the HUD3 version 1.5.5 - January 4th 2011. I'm currently working on adjusting the HUD3 sonar values to work with the new Game sonar system, I've almost plotted the values I'll be implementing and will start releasing more frequent updates.

Yes, I've found the 1.5.5 database but it doesn't fix the problem,
Oh well - plenty of other things to be getting on with !

Maybe I'm just a perma-noob.
But none of the HUD3 scenarios work for me. I get constant file sig. mis matches.
Here comes a naive question...
What improvements are made in a database update, that is counterbalanced by the inability to play all the subsequently outdated scenarios?
I can't even get the accompanying modded scenarios to work either.

You can open the scenario you want to play in the scenario editor, re-save the scenario and you'll be good to go in the game itself.

I loaded up 1.55 and downloaded the 10 associated scenarios.
But got the sig. mismatch error for all including the overwritten scenarios.
I'll try the re-save option.
Also Bucks gave a more complete answer to one of my earlier questions on this, so I'll try that also.
another noob question...
Why are the DB updates not backwardly compatible to earlier scenarios?
