I would Like to se one possible what if that involves the arrival of the winder troops from the Japan front. Fixing the swamp, and doing some kind of changes (I know not what ) to the first winter, fixing the air war are at the top of my list from reading the one thread that had a list of things that could be done was staggering.
I don't see the reason behind the push in the design to create a situation where both players have to preform historically or suffer to be rather different than most of Gary's games but then this is a totally different kind of design so it will take time to develop into the game it could be.

Those Siberian troops are in the game already, I think they start to appear in November. Swamps has been fixed and testing right now.

The Siberians don't come in one turn, they arrive a few units per turn, over multiple turns.

They also don't have "Siberian" stamped on them, but essentially appear on the east edge of the board and are full strength divisions compared to the normal 1/4 strength divisions that show up most of the time as re-enforcements.

I liked the way siberians also known as winterized troops were handled in the game Fire in the East. They were a different color and packed a "winterized" punch during the blizzard/snow turns. It seemed very historical.
