Greetings Folks,
I just got a new machine. I went from XP to Win7. No nasty Vista related gunk for me....
Anyway, I've got a couple of questions.

1) Is there a way to fit TOAW into a widescreen? I've got the ..27 version but have no sound, and a little less than half a screen of game. This tends to be annoying, as my eyes arent as they used to be.

2) What is the last official version of TOAW?
As ever if you have any problems with any of my scens, drop me a line and I'll see if I can work it out,

The latest 3.4 beta in the members area allows you to change the screen resolution by editing the opart 3 ini file. Unfortunately, it has a bug that means that it only does one resolution, I think 800x600. You can do the same thing by setting your desktop resolution before launching the game, but that's a bit of a pain. The 3.4 public patch should be coming out later this month, it fixes that and allow you to use better resolutions like 1280x768.

Setting the resolution was a late enough addition that I didn't want to try to change the main program to put it in the options screen, i know it's a bit clunky, sorry about that.

Nova,

Try reading this: http://www.matrixgames.com/forums/tm.asp?m=2357865

Latest 'OFFICIAL' version really doesn't count, eh? The one that works is 3.4.0.201, with is a beta version of the .202.....

(What scenarios have you done?)

Folks,
Thanks for the info. I think I'll wait until later in the month to start playing with this mess. I am glad to see that there is still some interest in TOAW though. I always liked the systerm for the most part. I probably will still have issues with the naval movement.
1_Lzard, I did several scenarios initially when the game game out. Some of them are still scattered in web sites across Europe, and here. They include; Northern Fury, Army Group South,(I divided the Russian front due to memory issues on the computer I had at the time), Solomons Struggle, South Pacific Struggle,France 42,and a couple of others.
Thanks Again,
Nova
