No, no. I cannot let you take the blame for that. After a quarter century of being married you would think that the frequency of my gafes would decrease. Such is not the case.

Bill Gates ....oh wait, this one is not an example.

I have just read the posts re Nicklas Bendtner and I think most of you are getting there although are still failing to grasp the fundamental point. Allow me to explain:

- Bendtner has a hugely inflated opinion of himself; true
- He's actually not very good; true

Ergo and thertofore - yes, he may be considered a t**t. However, he is not alone in exhibiting the above characteristics; think Emanuel Adebayor, Francis Jeffers etc

However the defining feature that ensures his t**tiness, is simply this: The man is a Gooner. Nuff said .

And you? Spurs? They're usually the most bitter towards Arsenal

Not even the strengh to paddle up....thinking of drowning...........;
trying to guess what's worth it......find only one answer, but is a VERY good one :Claire.
Difficult time : i would like to see her recovery a bit quicker. I absolutely not urge her or blame her or anything wrong.
Making things for her make me feel needed and having a meaning in my life. But sometime "boiling" inside because i would like her to take care of her herself when that is about trivial things......

But asking myself daily:
- a new job? What for ?
- loosing those damned 60 pounds that overweight me ? why the effort ?
- stopping smoke ? why ?
- making my job correctly ? why, officers don't care, as my 3 interview in my administration show.
- finding a hobby suiting me ? Why, i feel bad, i can't see what would change this
......and so on, and so on.....

Oh sorry THREAD; that's not a funny post. Will try not to polute anymore the humor of my brothers threadster.

Try to buck up my friend. I know it is hard at times like these. Are there any good friends, family members you can talk to during this period ? That can help a lot.

And please do not feel like you are in anyway unwelcome here. Post as often as you would like, that may also help. For what it is worth, you are in my prayers.

Warspite1

Certainly no offence taken here - and I trust my comment was taken in the same vein. To me the whole French / English (British) rivalry will always be there, but we no longer need to go to war to continue it . We can and should accept the past is the past and laugh about it where possible. The rivalry now is in sport, not war - Rugby Union and Football especially. God I hate losing to the French!!

Yes I am afraid I am bitter toward Arsenal a) they are north London rivals (so fair enough) b) they are more successful than us (so a large streak of envy is now thrown into the mix) c) their manager I accept is very good at his job but the way he goes about it sometimes really irritates. The top managers all have little spats from time to time, but only he managed to pick an argument with Martin Jol and poor Alan Pardew for goodness sake..

But virulent love making is apparently perfectly fine to discuss.

I must respectfully point out that I'm not elaborating on that either. What others do is not my business

Eric, you're (as always) welcome to blow off some steam whenever you feel you need to, and if you need some support.

Just try to see the positive things in life. I know it's hard when you're feeling down, but just try. IMHO, you're doing a fine job at being a loving husband and a good human being. Try to stay on that track and you will eventually be rewarded.

Going out for a walk to greet mother nature and the budding spring, as well as listening to the birds singing would probably do you some good. That usually works for me when I'm feeling a little down

Dixie are you psychic? How could you possibly tell from my even handed, balanced comment, that I was a Tottenham fan??

Yes I am afraid I am bitter toward Arsenal a) they are north London rivals (so fair enough) b) they are more successful than us (so a large streak of envy is now thrown into the mix) c) their manager I accept is very good at his job but the way he goes about it sometimes really irritates. The top managers all have little spats from time to time, but only he managed to pick an argument with Martin Jol and poor Alan Pardew for goodness sake..

Call it a wild guess The only managers that really get on my nerves are Fergie and 'Big' Sam Allardyce who just seems to be a total tosser. You're right though, they all have their moments, seeing Harry tell a reporter to **** off when he was called a wheeler-dealer made me smile.

It's all academic anyway, League 2 is where it's at

Actually I have an amusing real life story concerning that "W" word.

When I served in Kosovo, I and a colleague of mine happened to get in a conversation about cars with a couple of UK/USA officers.

My friend was going to tell them he had one of those Mazda's with a Wankel engine, forgot the real name and instead said he had "a Mazda with a Wanker engine" ...

Let's just say that amusement ensued ...

my partner of eight years has seperated from me. Apparantly the allure of Feed [Manager] Boy at her job was too much. I currently live with a mannequin where there used to be someone i loved. flip a switch.....pop the cork....the genie is out of the bottle.
