It's a great stick to beat people with. You will let us update the OS and applications, you will have up to date AV, no you developers can't have access to the production servers.

I have apologized three times already. She won't accept it. All I can hope for is that it'll at least be less icy between us after a while.

It was horrible today, sitting next to someone who used to be really friendly, and having this sheet of ice between us.

It's tough when you tell a female that their beloved isn't up to snuff...

Good Thread, I didn't tell her that! I'm not suicidal.

What I did was such a stupid accident, but she won't accept it.

Yesterday, I went into her office at the end of the day to say goodbye. We'd gotten to the stage where I could hug her in a friendly way, and so I leaned in to do that, and when I went to put my cheek against hers I hadn't turned my face enough, and my lips brushed against her face. She thinks I was trying to kiss her, which I was not, believe me.

I knew it advance that she couldn't handle being called "honey" or "sweetie" by anybody but her fiancee, so the idea that I would attempt to kiss her on the cheek or anywhere else... Well, she thinks I did it on purpose.

It's so stupid, and I would give my left leg (including FrankenToe) to have it never had happened...

Kristian, I told you before... it is much better this way... don't befriend married women... it can only lead to very big trouble some day... just leave them to their husbands...

In any case, if something gets wrong, you as a "third wheel" will always be to blame and always be the "guilty party" - please beware!

Leo "Apollo11"

That has not been my experience, Leo. As I said, this was a mistake, not deliberate.

Either way, home from work today and just as well: there was a big fire over night at one of the train stations I commute through and the whole schedule has been, shall we say, discombobulated.

I understand Kristian... I am only citing extreme caution...

In other words all I am saying is that befriending married woman is not good - not for you - not for her - not for her husband...

Even "hugging her in a friendly way" with best intentions can be interpreted on God knows how many ways... you might know what you are doing but she might get "worm inside her head" and start thinking about you the way you didn't intend... someone might see you and gossips might start... and then there is her husband... imagine yourself married and with wife - now imagine someone befriending her at her work and giving her friendly hugs... you would not feel entirely comfortable knowing that wouldn't you...

Leo "Apollo11"

P.S.
And we know what happened to Nik...

sigh.....

This month needs to end. I got a text from the X last nite......

she is getting rid of Chennelle, our pitbull. We've had her since she was 5 months old. (she is now 5) I can't take her at the moment. I almost punched a hole in a wall last nite. I hate her now. I didn't before. Messing with me is one thing.......messing with the kids is another.

no.

I'm not even sure i could take her with me once i leave the state. I'm in a state of disbelief at the moment. It hasn't even been a week since i got the boot. I didn't think her capable of such a thing.

Never liked February much. It seems to want to compensate for its lack of length by being extra sucky. The 2011 edition is not exception.

Wow, Nik... that is one sorry story. It seems to prove something the gang I worked with at the bike shop back in Georgia used to say: "All women have snakes in their heads. It just depends upon whether you encounter the garter snakes or the pit vipers..."

The more that I hear of you guys discussing your ex-wives and ex-GF's, The more convinced I am that I hit the lottery in the wife department. So far , only Bruce Powers makes me feel humble , as he's been married six months longer than I. BZ Bruce, on 30 years!
