Yup, sorry to hear that. My mom was diagnosed w/ alzheimer's this month. At least it explains some things.

Well I certainly liked his " Flashman " series

I just finished " On Seas Contested ". Very interesting imo.

I am looking for another read, maybe I will give your book a try.

It's his experiences in the Burma campaign with the Cumbrians as the British advance down the country. It starts just after he arrives in Burma after Imphal and Kohima and after most of the jungle fighting is done. It's different as well, it's written by someone who was (at the time) a private soldier.
