1) when or what stardate do the shakturi come into the picture and start blowing up planets and such (is there a speciffic stardate)
2)is their home planet located inside the galaxy so that I can find it ?

Dunno, Prince. I never play with story lines checked. From what I have read the Galaxy has to be a certain Tech lvl and a certain age to trigger them expanding. Yes as far as i have read they are in your galaxy.

This should have a spoiler header in it....

Afaik, this is not dependent on a particular stardate, it's indeed related to tech level as Laresenex explained. Until then they will have only refugee camps (minor race type of colonies). After that....you'll have a serious empire to deal with.

1. there is no special Stardate, it starts when a race explore the special planet that send a signal to the Shakturi to investigate the Map. Didn't the Anc. guardians warn you about to investigate these ? :-)
