OK, its time to admit that I'm a hypocrite. I cant stand American pop, but the same s**t in a foreign language is perfectly fine. I could probably name at least 6 American songs that sound exactly the same, but......VIVE LA FRANCE!

Unfortunately, this may eventually create the mistaken impression in my mind that all French girls look like that.

Good observation and I agree. This one (from 1990) is another good example. French girls in latex ... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Fe8mocHKHnM

As for French girls being in...or out....of things....

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0uBxzApOzGc&feature=related

The odd things is that I like her music for the lyrics. Granted theyre not overly complicated but very well put together. I heard the song before I saw the video.

I think thats actually the reason I stopped studying French after 3 years. I was annoyed that what I thought were meaningful lyrics in songs I liked were completely pedestrian crap.

Ok, I'll be damned. Thought it was mostly Europe that got blocked from American content.

Do any of these work?

It has the advantage of being easy to play on guitar. Now if I could just remember the lyrics.

The funniest thing about this video is that for the first time in my life I realize what the penguins from Mary Poppins are dancing to.

I'm a sucker for pseudo-meaningful ballad-type songs.

I received some unfortunate reinforcement in my teens when I played sappy s**t like that and all the girls said "awww....thats so sweet".

Ok.

In other words, if we were to use psychology terms, you have been conditionally reinforced to like that kind of music.

OOPS! Then I'm either VERY belated, or somewhat early. Well, have a good day anyhow! And I'll file a note to save birthday greetings till June.

Evening tithe, and my new TV is now connected to my PC, with the BluRay drive therein happily transmitting via HDMI cable. I've just watched the latest Sherlock Holmes movie on it, and it's almost naughty how good it looks...

48 hours since my last turn. I'm starting toe get the DTs...

"toe"? Did somebody say "toe"?

That was the DTs taking over... I received a turn this morning, so I'm all better now.

I'm kinda jealous. But on the other hand, I cant force myself to buy a BluRay player to see the 2 movies a year I would actually wanna watch. Got the TV, though.

I used to use photobucket. That's the only one I've experience with; it got the job done.
