We can fix that! We need to arrange a WW2 shoot for you , or a "cowboy shoot" (using weapons of the period).

Hi all,

Libyan cease fire called.  This time they really, really mean it.  Honestly, no crossed fingers or take-backs.

Yep...

Leo "Apollo11"

P.S.
BTW, one tidbit... earlier this evening I was watching "Sky News HD" and they were reporting from Tripoli. They saw some AAA firing randomly into the sky (tracers over night sky) and concluded that Libya still has strong Air Defense system in place... oh my... who pays those reporters / commentators....

Civilians.

They have a different opinion of strong defences and heavy combat. I daresay that those of you out there with infantry training have a different opinion to mine of those things as well.

Well, if somebody is pointed a twin-barrel 23mm anti-aircraft gun at me, then I'd call that a pretty strong opponent...

Bah. Any calibre less than 40mm is for wimps.

ETA: I started my career in the Army Air Defense. Hence I've had a long love affair with ms. Bofors

I USED to like you Per!

i used to be trained to something just a little bigger..... a ROLAND anti-air missile....

Yeah, but I don't belive any Rolands were ever pointed at me. The Sa-2 were with great frequency. It kinda of gives you a negative impression of them!

What is it with all these air defence types all of a sudden? The biggest weapon I ever fired was the Carl Gustav 84mm RCL.

The only AAA weapon I ever fired was a Shotgun! I join you in wondering why all these nasty individuals would fire their "big guns" (think they are over compensating for something?) at harmless , unarmed , peacefull airplanes!

All the Navy ever trained me with was 15 rounds out of a single shot .22! Despite pages of regulations requiring me to be trained in pistol and carbine!.

BTW, come out and we'll let you use a .45 cambered in .45! Or a replica Colt .45 ("Cowboy colt" , it's a different bullet).

5.56mm L85A2 rifle is the biggest I've ever fired. I just can't get excited about guns Or missiles, or bombs.

Everybody needs a hobby Martin. Some people draw pretty pctures, others like loud noises. It's all relative, it's all equal.

We are currently in the market for a fulltime administrative assistant. I posted addvertisements in both Monster.com and Career Builders.com. Within a week we received almost 600 resumes ! And of course the vast majority of them did not match the job description. Oh well.

So are you saying I should not have submitted my resume, listing all of my software QA and customer support experience?

Should I have listed my measurements instead?

Yes indeed !

Doesn't that depend on the measurements?

DELL Computers (sales and service) SUCKS!!!

My employer buys Dells exclusively. Yes they suck.

Yeah, mine does too... after today, i am going to see if i can influence them not to. That should cost Dell a few hundred K/year if i can. Doubtful, but i'll give it a shot.

I've always had a dell and can't complain. My wife is an apple lover....She wants an all in one apple that we can run windows and her mac crap on....should I take the plunge?

The machine itself is OK - but i've had an extraordinary run with the sales and service department. They have lied/misrepresented things at every turn. i am seriously thinking of getting rid of my machine so that i won't have to do business with them in the future.

WOW! Boy, things have changed! A year ago when I had one of my hard drives fail, they couldn't do enough for me. I was looking for a laptop, but now I wonder if I still want to go Dell (I've had 3 of their products).

I'm sure they didnt mean it personally.

Yes they definately did. And it was VERY personal. Have your neighbor point a loaded shot gun at your head while you work in your yard. It's very much the same feeling.

Yeah, but my neighbor points a gun at everyone that passes in fron to his house.

You might want to consider moving......or getting a bigger gun!

He just likes his privacy.

So do I! But this Geezer never points a gun at anyone unless he intends to use it!
Now Cleaning it , on the front porch..........

Oops! I forgot that the UK and Europe use the 24clock system. And was not awake enough to recall the GMT (and the fact I'm in a GMT-6 zone). Sorry, my bad. Deta sierra to me.

I think their business sales division is giving the rest of the company a bad name.
