Made me chuckle. Following a work truck on the way home. On the tailgate: Forx Radiator: the best place to take a leak.

Have just finished packing for my upcoming vacation. Leaving for the Canary Islands tomorrow evening. Gone until next Friday. Will drop in and say hello if I find an Internet computer somewhere handy.

Good night friends.

Per is going Canary hunting.

I wondered what happened to my dental floss.

My apologies to your teeth, but I think that this is a much better use for it.

DELL Computers (sales and service) SUCKS!!!

My employer buys Dells exclusively. Yes they suck.

Yeah, mine does too... after today, i am going to see if i can influence them not to. That should cost Dell a few hundred K/year if i can. Doubtful, but i'll give it a shot.

I've always had a dell and can't complain. My wife is an apple lover....She wants an all in one apple that we can run windows and her mac crap on....should I take the plunge?

The machine itself is OK - but i've had an extraordinary run with the sales and service department. They have lied/misrepresented things at every turn. i am seriously thinking of getting rid of my machine so that i won't have to do business with them in the future.

WOW! Boy, things have changed! A year ago when I had one of my hard drives fail, they couldn't do enough for me. I was looking for a laptop, but now I wonder if I still want to go Dell (I've had 3 of their products).

For what it is worth I have used Dells for a very long time now, must have bought and sold hundreds over the years. We currently have about 30 up and running in our office. And I have never really encountered any major problems, and the service seems to have always been fine. We run dozens and dozens of different applications from all sorts of venders, they are on all the damn time ( especially this time of year ) and I have never thought we needed to migrate to a different platform.

Admittedly we use them in very a straightforward number crunching, data manipulation manner. But still, we cannot tolerate any downtime in my business, time is money after all I am not a tech guy really, but no one else ( HP, etc ) has ever been able to give us the same deals that Dell does. We work with our IT folks every year in regards to seeking bids and so forth, Dell always comes up with the best packages.

Not much problem with their machines: it is their sales and support staff that lie through their teeth. At every stage.

Maybe if i was a corporate customer, they might treat me differently.

Maybe they can probably offer the best prices to the corporate customers since they screw over the individual customers.

Wouldn't it be more prudent to say "Don't do anything that Yuri might do?"

Customer: “Excuse me.”

Me: “Yes?”

Customer: “You only have 28 different flavors of ice cream. You’re supposed to have 31 flavors.”

Me: “Ah, yes. The company dropped the ‘flavors’ thing over a decade ago. Some smaller stores have as few as 16. The larger store downtown has 40 flavors. I should point out we do have four flavors of frozen yogurt as well, so that’s 32.”

Customer: *angry* “That’s false advertising! Your sign says ’31 flavors’! You’re supposed to have 31 different flavors!”

Me: “Ma’am, like I said. They dropped ‘flavors’ from the logo and signs over a decade ago. This store is less than eight years old. If you can find something that says ’31 flavors’, I will give you a quart of ice cream.”

Customer: *pointing* “Right there! Are you blind? Thir-ty-one f-l-a-v-o-r-s!”

Me: “What portion of it says ‘flavors’?”

Customer: “It’s right there! Under the 31!”

Me: “Look at the sign. Tell me what it says.”

Customer: “I don’t need to look at the d*** sign to… oh.”

(She pauses.)

Customer: “Oh. Pint of mint chip, please.”

french journalist and history of warfare

" a very intense fight" ( two or three rocket shots on a building)

"the most intensive military campaign in mediterannéan " . What about crusades or WWII ?????

" a heavy tank here is destroyed" ....yeah , just learn the difference between a troop carrier and a battle tank

" the fighters now shot at the logistic, a new form of war ". Yeah, true, that's only 3 century that it is aimed by belligerants

and most ashame about the "Carrier Charles de Gaulle and it's 15 planes, a huge armada" ....oh damn, what to think about a US Carrier ????

The human kind is bound to disapear because there is no more memory for most of people (and i don't talk about politics topics for the french) .

And my best wishes to all my threadsters brothers
