A question about recombining units, posted here because it might just be a bug. I'm trying to recombine the 7th Australian Division from it's component units. As you can see from the screens, they are all in the right location, have the same devices and they are all in the same opmode. However, I still can not recombine them, has this become impossible as Black Force has been withdrawn or might there be some other reason ? Thanks in advance.

It is possibly "march bug" - march destination is not cleared on game code level

You need to give all this units a order to move to random hex, and then you need cancel that move order

after that You should be able to form 7 division

Interesting, never heard about that bug before. Unfortunately that doesn't seem to be the reason.

I think Black Force is the problem.

Or maybe because only one brigade have armoured cars and mountain guns? Or are these something extra, not part of the TOE?

Actually thinking about it, the 'march direction' of the destroyed "Black Force" is probably not the same as the other components. Thus stopping the units from joining up. Pre-beta code never cleared the march direction.

There will be a new beta on Saturday (my time) which will ignore 'march direction' differences.

Only a bug in the current beta.

FWIW I never noticed a problem combining units until this absolute latest beta..No idea why, I looked at the components, but the problem was with an Australian unit as well..(Love all the "fixes" though..)

Black Force was not destroyed, it just disbanded on schedule. Not sure if that makes a difference, but I'll add it just in case. I'm also not running any of the beta patches. The game is being played under the last official patch.

Having the save in that case will be helpful.

Just a thought, but the last Inf Bde has two 3.7" Mountain guns and two M3A1 armored cars, which the other two Inf Bdes do not have.

Were you able to rebuild the unit after the last beta (k6)?

Sorry for late response, here is the save file. I haven't used any of the later betas yet, so I don't know if that would solve the problem.

It was the disbanded LCU that was stopping the rebuilding. I will add a check to skip over disbanded units.
Funny it hasn't occurred in the last year or so. Maybe we have been blaming mis-matched devices too much.
