We've been getting this recently, even when trying to move only 1 space!!!!

Is this a known bug? Is there a fix?

He said he gets it even when moving one space, which sounds like a bug.

I'm not sure it's a "path" problem as much as it is there is a problem finding some adjacent spaces (for some reason). I have no idea how the map is laid out or what algorithm is used to find an adjacent space (or path for that matter).

Bart, if it is only one area, then it is likely a bug. Is this happening at just one location? There was a bug that was fixed a long time ago that precvented movement from StrasLund to one of the adjacent areas.

It happened in 2 areas, one in the Rhineland and one in Northern Italy.

I believe it has something to do with the area moved INTO, not from. For example, Austria tried two different paths in trying to move into the Piedmont space (the one with the capital) - one from Lombardy and one from Genoa, and both gave the same errors. Furthermore, what is odd is that we did not get this error all game and then suddenly got it twice in one land phase by two different players. Too many pieces on the map perhaps? Either way, we quit that game and started a new one using 1.8.05 Beta. Hopefully, we will not run into the same issue in this version.

This is a fixed map which is probably laid out like a graph so I can't see the complication in searching the graph for the lowest cost and/or lowest forage route. The graph never changes since the map never changes, the costs should be hardcoded in the graph.

I don't think it has anything to do with lowest cost. The units were only trying to move one space into an adjacent area and got the "path too complicated."
