Lately I have been more involved with digital art and photo-editing, so in order to combine my hobbies I was wondering about sources of photos from the Pacific War. I am mainly interesting in public domain or creative commons licensed photos since I don't believe in infringing copyrights. Anybody have good sources and suggestions?

By the way, I found a 3D model of the Rufe so I am planning a 3D rendering from the Aleutians once I feel a bit more confidence in my proficiency with the software.

Here is a good starting point.

The National Archives have many good resources online.

I like to browse WW2 in color but have never tried their pay services.
