I have no idea where else post this, sorry if I'm really wrong:

Do DW run in background thinking about his future moves when the player put the game in pause?

I don't think so but Elliot can clarify it...only chess programs can do that afaik
It does run in background but not during the pause

IIRC in task manager DW shows 0 CPU% during pause

So it dont compute anything

On my laptop it ran at 50% CPU in pause just trying to keep everything loaded

POOR Laptop

Theoretically GALCIV2 is multithreading and can do that... not that it really shows.

I'm not 100% but I think DW is also capable of multithreading
