Looks like we might have the beginnings of a new Yamato-vs-Iowa thread... Oh goody...

Oooh ... I have to check that one after finishing reading this one.

Let me guess, one of the participants could have an acronym along the line of MS1?

Shipped the wife home and am batching it this week. Time to go throw together some fodder.

I'm assuming you mean 'Blokes Food' Mynok. Yes... there is nothing like a good feed of steak/eggs/chips, all fried or deep fried of course.

Well, this bloke knows how to cook. I had a nice raft of deep fried chicken along with some sauteed snow peas and mushrooms.

I can understand the chicken, but why would you eat a raft?

Was it a wooden raft or an inflatable raft?

Maybe he was making a raft out of (deep fried) rubber chickens?

During a commercial airline flight a Navy pilot was seated next to a young mother with a babe in arms.

When the baby began crying during the descent for landing, the mother began nursing the infant as discreetly as possible.

The pilot pretended not to notice and, upon debarking, he gallantly offered his assistance to help with the various baby-related paraphernalia.

When the young mother expressed her gratitude, the pilot responded, "Gosh, that's a good looking baby...and he sure was hungry!"

Somewhat embarrassed, the mother explained that her pediatrician said nursing would help alleviate the pressure in the baby's ears.

The Navy pilot sadly shook his head, and in true pilot fashion exclaimed, "Damn! And all these years I've been chewing gum."

Gotta show that one to our pilots at the NDC.

You can get all of him to do that with a gold digger.

I wonder if he still thinks that anybody else thinks it's his real hair?

You can understand the chicken? What are you, some sort of chicken whisperer or somethin'? I've been around 'em much of my adult life and I can only catch a few phrases here or there...

He could be Dancing with Chickens.

... and now I gotta go pick my parents up at the airport. They're coming down from the icy north for a weekend visit.

I will finish reading up on the remaining 10 pages you've managed to produce while I was gone later.

Cya, friends.

I liked it. Is being Russian a valid excuse?

It was a superb film.

Black Swan is fantastic a descent into madness

Hmmm ... mixed reviews here.

Guess you'll just have to see it for yourself.

Oooh. Blast UNP.

5 measly posts makes a 'blast' these days?

Man o man-commodity inflation is going nuts...trying to convince us that the same quantity (and quality) seen before in a 'new and improved' package (read: smaller) is the same as before?

Agreed. Onime is obviously wallowing in his GFU absence freedom and so has become a slacker.

A "blast" constitutes a series of consecutive responses to any posts I have found interesting. Thus, it can be large or small, depending on the topics of the day. If you want a bigger blast, stop talking about baseball, football and taxes (I suggest you concentrate on girls in butt floss, but thats just a suggestion).

I need a drink.

Mine was five figures as well. Three times.

Yeah, but you get actual social benefits. We get mentions of them in congressional correspondence.
