Looks like we might have the beginnings of a new Yamato-vs-Iowa thread... Oh goody...

Whataya think, T-should I start arguing that the Yamato and Mushashi were scuttled? After all, everyone knows that these behemoths could not succumb to the pinpricks of the Allied TB and DBs.

No arguing with fanbois...

Hurrah! The JFBs are gaining the upper hand currently, but surely it's just a matter of time before the AFBs gather sufficient numbers to mount a counter of their own. Then someone from the JFBs will mention how Musashi was only sunk because the US cheated by bringing more planes than the IJN could defend against thus rendering the sinking as null and void. Then the AFBs will ascertain that an Iowa would easily have taken out either or both Yamatos on the basis of they said so. Then someone will call someone else a name and it'll all degenerate further, then someone will mention some totally irrelevant fact and drags the Bismark into the discussion.

Meanwhile a sub-plot has sprung up with regards to USN and IJN airpower and tactics, the result of which is a thread that spreads to 5 pages before the final and inevitable lock.

I REALLY have to check out on this thread and see if it went as you thought it would.

So, where the heck is Onime?

10 to one he was slacking off dreaming about his absent GFU.

Oooh. Blast UNP.

5 measly posts makes a 'blast' these days?

Man o man-commodity inflation is going nuts...trying to convince us that the same quantity (and quality) seen before in a 'new and improved' package (read: smaller) is the same as before?

Agreed. Onime is obviously wallowing in his GFU absence freedom and so has become a slacker.

A "blast" constitutes a series of consecutive responses to any posts I have found interesting. Thus, it can be large or small, depending on the topics of the day. If you want a bigger blast, stop talking about baseball, football and taxes (I suggest you concentrate on girls in butt floss, but thats just a suggestion).

I think that I can speak for all THREAD members when I say that we're not interested in what you're going to 'blast' after seeing girls in butt floss, sir. This is a family forum for goodness sake.

I dont believe that anyone actually cares about my blasts under any circumstances.

I do, however, find it a therapeutic excersize after yet another day spent dealing with a supervisor who was either raised by wolves or thinks that somewhere in her job offer there was a clause that allows her to dispense with normal human courtesy and social graces.

It's his pacemaker battery... this is why Kristian doesn't get involved in the Zero vs F4F arguments anymore. Several years ago he had a heart attack while typing up a snippy response!

That's why he later shortened down the generic response to "No"?
