Hi everyone,

When I hit the print screen button, where is the file saved? I'm trying to post a bug thread, but I don't know where the picture is.

Also, if you know what keys I hit to do a print screen, please let me know. I assume it is shift-print scrn. Since I can't find the file, it could be ctrl-print scrn or alt-print scrn and I wouldn't know.

Thanks for any help!

I'm not sure where it's saved either (The clipboard? The Windows Temp file?) (I'm still in XP.), but if you just launch Paint after you do the Shift-Print Screen you can use Paste to bring it into Paint and then re-save it to wherever you'll access it to stick into a forum post.

I don't know for sure if Vista and Windows 7 have Paint, but I think they do.

Vista has Paint. It's what I use.

Bradley,

It's alt-printscrn too, FWIW. Then open up Paint and paste, trim and save where you see fit.

Just experimented in XP. FWIW, Alt-, Shift-, and Cntl-PrintScreen all work the same with Paint. Odd for a Windows app.

Thanks everyone! I forgot to paste into Paint. I'm working on my bug post now. :)
