Leaders are a frequently-requested feature, so I decided to give this feature its own thread. What I want to see from leaders: they are basically an open-ended list of three-column rows. The first column may include: - Maximum Base Morale - Morale gain from positive modifiers - Morale loss from negative modifiers - Entrenchment per round - Maximum Entrenchment - Attack Favorite against a category of SFTypes - Attack Power - Attack Power against a category of SFTypes - Defensive Power - Defensive Power against a category of SFTypes - Artillery Favorite against a category of SFTypes - Artillery Power - Artillery Power against a category of SFTypes - Hit Points - Hit Points against a category of SFTypes - Readiness Regain rate - Supplies needed for readiness regain - Recon Points - Zone-Of-Control Points - Landcap - Navalcap - Railcap - Supply action points - Move Redux (e.g. a master of marching, or a guy who is too careful and likes to move slowly) - Readiness Loss per 10 AP spent (e.g. a micromanager who has difficulty dealing with changes) The second column may include: - Same hex - Specific number of hexes - This formation, plus some number of levels of hierarchy. 0 = current formation only, 1 = HQ and subordinate units, etc. - Specific SFType - All SFTypes of any kind - All SFTypes in a certain category - All SFTypes with a certain movement type The third column is simply integers. They are probably always in percentages, except perhaps for some types of bonuses such as Attack Favorite, in which case the number might simply be added/subtracted directly. There might be room for a fourth column, with even more specific conditions, such as: - When this HQ/division is on a certain LocType or Land Type - When an attacked hex is a certain LocType or Land Type - Only if all Staff points are provided by a specific SFType - Only if Staff coverage is above or below a certain percentage Given how complex any decent leader system would be, except for the extremely-simple leaders of People's Tactics, I expect no big changes for at least a year... but maybe for Advanced Tactics Platinum, hint hint
