Hi all,

<HEAVY SIGH>

We might have "political confrontation" in main forum (as expected with current events)...

Leo "Apollo11"

And we didn't know this would happen with 100% certainty?

Leave them to it, there's no point getting twisted into an fight with anyone. Of course it's all America's fault that the world is a dangerous place with bad people living in it, everything else is.

Bin Laden has gone, it's a good thing. Regardless of how in touch with A-Q ops he was it shows other cells around the world that the West will track them down, whether it takes 10 days or 10 years there'll be a bang at the door followed by one to the head.

Exactly. That's the message to the next guy in charge, "we got your Big Cheese. You sure we won't get you too?"

it's one of many reasons that we spent 10 years, precious lives and countless resourses tracking down that gutless SOB and sending his worthless corpse to davey jones locker...rant off...

damn, CB...i don't have kids, but that made me want to go out and adopt one...

Gonna change the subject a bit:

The sun was up and it is warm(er) today.  So my daughter wore her pink easter dress with white leggings.  My wife did her hair in a pony tail this morning.  When I dropped her off at daycare, she gave me a light kiss on my cheek and said, "I love you too, daddy."  I watched her run off to play with her friends at the center.  Then I went outside and cried.  She was so beautiful...

That's awesome, but it also makes me glad that I have a son and not a daughter. They were custom made to break hearts.

Yes they were. And if Kwik E's serious, send me a pm. Lost my only natural daughter in a surfing accident many years ago. Adopted the sweetest and most beautiful thing you will ever see. Amalie. She's 14, now. Daughters are different. J

Sorry to hear that. We lost our youngest son to complications from a congenital heart defect when he was 4 months old. It's a pain that never, ever goes away.

Yep, ours is 17 now. been dating a boy for 8 months now. Must learn to let go... Anyway we've invited him away with us for a week in Northumberland at the end of May. And he gets to share a bedroom with our 11 yo son who WILL tell tales.

i salute your courage to adopt and continue to nurture and love - two things that seem lacking in today's world at times...

Good morning tithe... I see some trolling going on in the main forum, given the great news I suppose I shouldn't be surprised.

John, Simon, you both have my most heartfelt condolences.

I've had a similar loss that is still very different.  I adopted 4 children with my ex, including bringing home tiny Julia Marie from the hospital when she was 5 days old.  She was 4 pounds, 9 ounces and had cocaine in her system at birth.  She's the only baby that I've had the pleasure and exhaustion of raising.  Long, long story made short, through legal actions, custody battles, and additional family situation, I no longer have any legal right to any contact with them.  I haven't seen them in 5 years.

The Lord does work in mysterious ways, however.  My son, Alex, lost his father to cancer at the same time that I was losing my other children.  He and I found each other at a time when we both needed it the most, and an amazing wife and mother came with the deal!

Cheers, Brothers!

Good morning, Des.

Yes, you are absolutely correct in your supposition. I have to head to the hockey rink pretty soon, so maybe I'll jump over there real quick and poke the trolls a bit and then run.

Hi Mike... Six months ago I would have done the same thing, but it just doesn't pull my string any more. They will answer with the same old predictable mindless rhetoric, normally insulting anyone who is not as stupid as them.
