I just told the world that THE THREAD!!! was some kind of "celebration of life."  So, straighten up and toe the line, you miserable louts!  We need to make a good impression.
Warspite1

Reporting for "making a good impression" duty sir - what do you want us to do?

Er.....um.....I don't know! Sweep up the place or something!

It's incredible how many "tinfoil hat" & conspiracy sites there are out there ...

Have a look at this one ... http://www.stopabductions.com/

Ah, but remember, Grollub-it isn't paranoia if the bastards really are out to git ya'.

And remember something else. Just because you aren't paranoid doesn't mean they aren't out to get you...

Also remember that even paranoids have enemies.

Yup. You do have to remember that all its users are former abductees, who have now become free of the alien scourge ...

Will that helmet keep you guys from reading my mind while I'm on THE THREAD?

I also don't think that helmet provides any defense against the dreaded anal probe. That's my biggest fear when it comes to the alien abduction menace.

I did note the presence of three critical marketing messages in the very sophisticated message :
1. Presence of European testimonials. Lends the air of sophistication.
2. Presence of regular Joe testimonials. Lends an air of common application.
3. The fact that this was developed by 'an expert'. I mean, c'mon Per-would you trust your though screen helmet to amateur design?

Certainly not! Oh, the horror of a amateur made thought screen helmet!

Note the caveat; "The thought screen helmet has effectively stopped several types of aliens from abducting or controlling humans. Only three failures have been reported since 1998."

What delicious irony it would be if one of those failures was the developer himself, eh? What a great way for Aliens to control humans-by making defective thought screen helmets! Yes-those aliens are very tricksy...

Reading books, Sprior? Haven't you more important things to keep tabs on? Like alien mind control defenses and conspiracy theories involving extraterrestrial reptiles?

Speaking of good books, anyone read Dunkirk by Sebag-Montefiore? Up to chapter 11 and so far, so excellent.

Aye, I got it a while back. Read it on one of my weekends away 'somewhere' east of Suez.

Hi all,

For your laptop?

Yep... it will be 2nd drive in laptop (I will keep original HDD for data storage - it is 1TB and I like it)...

I got Intel X-25M G2 80GB ("safe" older choice but should be reliable and several magnitudes faster than HDD).

I will put only OS and programs on it (80 GB is enough for OS, SWAP, Temp and all programs I use on laptop)...

Leo "Apollo11"

P.S.
I am planning to have similar setups (i.e. SDD for OS and HDD for storage both at home and at work shortly)!

1TB HDD for your laptop?  Now I have ... er.... hard drive envy.

I recently bought a 2TB external drive for backups.  Very happy with it so far.

It is 17" laptop (thus quite big = 2x internal HDD/SDD bays)...

I also use 2TB external eSATA for Archive / BackUp (I prefer eSATA to USB)...
