I am unable to play any wargames

A much worse fate than having to attend the concert.

But, not as bad as the fate that awaits your Allied dogs, USS Mike. See for yourself in the combat replay and report.

Ooh...a 'taunting the Allied dogs' UNP.

And a fine Saturday morning. Today it's sunny and will be 70F here in Minnesota. Fine-a-freakin-ly. After I torment the Allied dogs just a bit longer, I'll go out on a bike ride, methinks.

My mum was going through an old family bible and came across the birth certificate of her great uncle, born Dec 1890. This is his memorial:

Had my eye on this one for a while. The Forgotten Fleet (John Winton) is one of my favourite naval WWII books and will be interested to see what this book adds to the BPF story. Not long to wait now.....

Some good news! My friend's cancer is estrogen based and the lung spots were caught early, so she will be on estrogen blocker for two to three months and that will hopefully stop the progress. No chemotherapy or radiation for now! Thanks again for the kind words from all...

Excellent news KEM... For some reason Doctors always give you the bad news first, then some better news a few days later.

My sympathies. Been in your situation once myself, and it sure gnaws in the gut.

From when will your job be downsized? And do you have any benefits while looking for something new?

30 days... And yes, I do have two years of benefits available, but it's almost unbearable to think of it taking that long to find something new.

Hear hear ... My longest unemployment period lasted for 6 months, and I was almost climbing the walls at that time.

I guess it's the same in Denmark as here, that the health care sector are hit by regular downsizings/reorganisations ... Any thoughts on studying something during your benefit period, to (maybe) branch over into something else?
