John, I'm glad you posted that one in here, too.  I really wanted to comment on your spectacular sense of humor (again) in the other spot where you posted it.

Have a fantastic Sunday!

Well, Brothers, I may be having a vacation from the forums for a while.  Good old 5th Guards Piece of **** just posted that he has no sympathy for the victims of 9/11 and then said he wouldn't be checking that thread anymore.

So I PM'ed him and told him he's a Piece of ****.

If I get awarded a vacation, it will be worth it to make sure he can't hide.

I think my pm to him will top your's. Lets just say I went a bit further than calling him a peice of ****e...

Looks like you've been tricked into arguing with an idiot. The individual concerned is just not worth the effort of sending a pm just to get a time-out. No doubt he/she/it has already gone running to the mods whining about you nasty bullies

Deserved it. To be honest it's been a long time coming, the club has been on a downward spiral since Keith Alexander was given the boot. The appointment of Chris Sutton just showed how bad it had got really, rip the whole lot up and start again cos we're going to be in the Blue Square for the long haul I fear. A few years ago Lincoln got to the playoffs (5 years in a row!) with, what was at one time, the best defensive record in the English leagues. Now it's the worst defensive record at home with the fewest goals scored. It's a shame, I remember when Gary Taylor-Fletcher played at Lincoln. And Gareth Ainsworth and Darren Huckerby. And the rest who we've let go for peanuts or even terminated their contracts mid-season who've gone on to play higher up the league.

At least Spurs are flying high in the league and you've got Rafael van der Vaart. We've got, er, no-one really.

30 days... And yes, I do have two years of benefits available, but it's almost unbearable to think of it taking that long to find something new.

2.5 months and counting here. I've had a couple of leads, but nothing has panned out yet. My requirements and definition of a "good" job are slowly dropping as it takes longer and longer.

I'm really upset that you two are out there having to look for jobs. I wish you both the very best.

Don't know if it's applicable in ya'lls cases, but I had to go through the same process after moving to Alabama. I'm registered in California, so I'm not allowed to practice law, here. Fortunately, my USPTO registration is national, so I can practice anywhere as an Agent. Registered my firm LLC in Alabama and offer professional services to individuals and consultant services to area law firms. Am very happy with consultancy. Time and scheduling is mine, and given all the other stuff I have going on, I like that.

Consulting looks really good on the resume. It means you are a professional and don't depend on some weenis corporation for lunch money. Also means you are so secure in your professional knowledge that you can afford to 'fly alone' (whether you can or can't, mox nix, it's the 'tude). Consulting also helps financially. You can bill out at a rate about twice what you would normally get (and be able to work about half as long) and your employers will be paying about half of what they would for an equally situated employee. Really good all around.

Nice thing about consulting is that the guys you consult for eventually want to take you on, formally. I have offers from two area firms to pay a month's hiatus while I take the Alabama bar and join their firm as Of Counsel.

Gosh, I really hope this is helpful to you guys. If there is anything I can do, anything at all, please shoot me an email.

Ciao. John

Well, my sister and bro-in-law went to Auburn. Neighbor on the left went to Auburn; on the right, went to Bama; two doors up, went to LSU; two doors down, went to GA. And I did get my MBA from Gatorville. So maybe I'll cut down a haF aS U tree.

No, and unless we quickly remember how to play football again , we will be pipped for the remaining Europa league spot by Liverpool - problem then is keeping the likes of Modric when Man Utd and Chelsea come knocking with their chequebooks.... we'll see.

I know Mate, I'm currently under treatment for an inoperable Carcinoid tumour. But I'm lucky that in my case there are treatment options. But life goes on, and most days are good, like today.

a good friend ours, an 8 year survivor of breast cancer just found out she has lung cancer...and she's only 30 years old. the prognosis is not good and maybe she was speaking out of shock or whatever, but she says she seriously doesn't want to go thru chemo or radiation again...my wife is a mess over this and i'm trying to stay positive, but right now it's a losing battle...

Damn sorry to her that.
