Hi all,

Robert, the Spurs sunk even lower... I am afraid that the European games next season will be just a dream...

I have a serious question for you guys.  Where do I have to get in line to pick up some of these "mighty and indestructible" 4EB's that I keep reading about?

They do pack quite a punch, but Mynok and ChickenBoy sure are able to "destructible" them.

Don't try and bother to understand it Mynok - it's all complete b@&£?&@£. Undercover geek was right - this is all to do with the fact that Lennon is Northern Irish and dared to play for Celtic (from the Catholic half of Glasgow) and later to manage the club.

As such he has made enemies in both his home country and in the city where he has given such great service to the club. Cobblers or what? For the record I am an English Protestant, my other half is Catholic (born in England of Southern Irish parents) and my two children are baptised and have taken Communion as Catholics.

But he's north Irish Catholic from what the BBC says. Oh well...you're right, it's BS of course, but humans are full of that. We've certainly had our share of inane sectarianism over here.

yeah..... essentially hes a protestant managing a catholic team - whos he upset? the catholics or the protestants? who knows

He's not a protestant. He's a catholic. http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport2/hi/football/13171598.stm

I think it was Vatican II that allowed that Protestants are Christians, too. Whew! Where would we be without Paul VI and good 'ole JP II. Woof!!

It shouldn't make any difference, just goes to show the small-minded nature of certain sections of the Rangers and Celtic fans. If he's getting this much hassle just for being Northern Irish, then you can imagine how much he'd be getting if he was Protestant as well.

They're just generally fighting. Just like the Scottish Protestants, Scottish Muslims and even the Scottish Buddhists.

Well, unfortunately there is some question as to whether the pontiff is really allowed to do that.

Both of them? Do they fight with each other? Gosh, Scots can even turn a peaceful religion like Buddhism into warmongering. That's some powerful ju-ju! Or maybe just powerful scotch.

It never hurts to be papal approved.

Bah, Texas heat doesn't start until June. You got the kiddie roller-coaster version of it.

Yeah, well faith and begorrah. I will, however, trade you an acknowledgement that a presbyterian is (somewhat) human, in return for an acknowledgement that the pipes are originally Irish (just watch me duck and cover as AndyMac comes looking for my chitlins). You, being a sassenach yourself, are in a unique position to set things right (not that we would believe you if things didn't go our way).

But the Harp always sings and Erin Go Braugh.

Go Wings!

I guess there are a few Swedes on the Wings, huh?

Personally, I always root against the Red Wings, just like the Yankees in Baseball. I like the Sharks, but picked and have been rooting for the Canucks since the beginning of the playoffs. I'd like to see a Tampa Bay/Vancouver finals, with Vancouver winning Lord Stanley's Cup.

Actually, I could root equally for both the Sharks & the Wings, as both teams have a player from my home Swedish favourite team (Niclas Wallin in the Sharks & Tomas Holmstrom in the Wings). But, as Homer has played for the Wings for such a long time as compared for Wallin for the Sharks, I'm more firmly rooted () in rooting for the Wings. BTW, I have Mattias Ohlund in the Lighnings as well. Also a native Lulea player.
