Grateful Dead
One More Saturday Night

I went down to the mountain, I was drinking some wine,
Looked up in the heavens Lord I saw a mighty sign,
Writt'n fire across the heaven, plain as black and white;
Get prepared, there's gonna be a party tonight.

Uhuh, Hey! Saturday Night!
Yeh, uhuh one more Saturday night,
Hey Saturday night!

Everybody's dancin' down the local armory
With a basement full of dynamite and live artillery.
The temperature keeps risin', everybody gittin' high;
Come the rockin' stroke of midnite, the whole place gonna fly.

Uhuh, Hey! Saturday Night!
Yeh, uhuh one more Saturday night,
Hey Saturday night!

Turn on channel six, the President comes on the news,
Says, "I get no satisfaction, that's why I sing the blues."
His wife say "Don't get crazy, Lord, you know just what to do,
Crank up that old Victrola, put on them rockin' shoes."

Uhuh, Hey! Saturday Night!
Yeh, uhuh one more Saturday night,
Hey Saturday night!

Then God way up in heaven, for whatever it was worth,
Thought He'd have a big old party, thought He'd call it planet Earth.
Don't worry about tomorrow, Lord, you'll know it when it comes,
When the rock and roll music meets the risin' sun.

I can loosely claim this is AE related since it mentions the Rising Sun

Alright, stayed up way too late playing this damnable game. Too bad it's not addicting. Good night, Thread dudes.

Had a nice gaming/dinner evening yesterday.

Played one game of Imperial2030 and two games of Settlers of Catan.

Dinner was of the spectacular kind. Our hosts had grilled/fried six different kinds of meat - fillet of ox, fillet of deer, fillet of pork, meatballs made of moose meat, dried reindeer meat, and bear meat. Three different kind of sauces - pepper, chanterelle and bearnaise. Some root vegetables to go with this.

It LOOKS like gmail actually picked up on it pretty quickly*... they temporarily suspended my account and blocked a lot of the spam messages from going out.

Anyway - i always try to put something in the subject line... all of these things had blank subject lines... so if you get messages with blank subject lines - be on the lookout.

EDIT: According to the time stamps, they started blocking messages within 6 minutes of the first one going out, and blocked most of them... only about "5 mass mailings" messages went out, and gmail blocked 3 of them (i think). They probably did this by the "unusual activity" of me mass mailing stuff, and it also generated a lot of "bounced" messages from defunct email acounts just on those two first messages. Kudos to gmail for quick action!!

Had something similar happening to my hotmail account two years ago. One day my while on the job I just recieved some spam mails from my hotmail adress. Logging in to the hotmail showed no spam mails in the sent folder though, but I checked with others in the contact list and they had recieved them as well. Luckily, the spam mails were not of malicious kind, and a change of the hotmail password seems to have fixed the problem.

ETA; Unlike you gmail example, hotmail didn't stop any of the spams being sent or suspend my account :-/

AVG hasn't (yet) found any infections...

Oh no! The AVG was infected? Won't that impinge your early war Burma air defenses?

I think it's quite natural that the AVG didn't do well stopping the spam - Bob probably made the mistake having a high "Air" rating commander, instead of some guy with high admin & aggression ratings

Evening tithe... It must be hard to have five distinct personalities in your head, like "Japan" has. If nothing else, it must be loud.

Not to mention that the five personalities are arguing with each other.

Watched "Tombstone" last night. One of only two films in which Kurt Russell was cool (the other, obviously, "Escape from New York").

Kurt was fantastic as Herb Brooks in Miracle.

Tombstone is a good flick.

For a campy beer and pretzels adventure movie, I enjoyed 'Big Trouble in Little China' some years back.

Wonderful Movie!

"Just remember what ol' Jack Burton does when the earth quakes, and the poison arrows fall from the sky, and the pillars of Heaven shake. Yeah, Jack Burton just looks that big ol' storm right square in the eye and he says, 'Give me your best shot, pal. I can take it.' "

I wonder how many Thread brothers know the history of my "Mighty is the THREAD and insane are its inhabitants!" quote. It seems to have found life in at least a couple sigs.

I don't. I didn't enter THE THREAD!!! until AE came out. It's a hilarous and fitting quote, and you would be more than welcome to tell it.

Currently playing Panzer General Forever. Very good rewrite/port of the old classic. Stable and with improved AI. Reawakens many good old memories.

In case you have missed it, it can be found here; http://panzercentral.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=45039 There's a download link roughly one page down on that page.
