When I try to run the new turn in our PBEM, I consistently get a CTD during the arrival of new ground units step. I can see the xxth AA Battalion arrives at Tokyo and then the program crashes. We are using the last official patch.

Save attached (renamed to .zip).

that is not good at all because last combat replay you´ve sent me the same happened in my turn, so I couldn´t create a a combat report. Could watch the replay until the very end though. Turn could be accessed without a problem.

Unfortunately I can't even get to the new turn if the japanese replay crashes. I'll try it with the newest beta patch later to see if that helps.

No, it doesn't help. Crashes at the same spot. :(

Yes. There is some pointers set to an invalid value, whiich is causing the CTD. It was fixed in the next patch.
Not sure but it might have been associated with clouds.

I ran the save under the latest beta, and it stop at the breakpoints where the fix was, so it is not a new bug.

which beta?

The one in the first post which I had assumed contained a copy of the latest version. I've now realized my mistake and got it to run unter m4. It seems we're back in business.

Thanks michael!

Edit: 2 small observations on the beta. I like that addition that the hex number is shown during replay if a search plane is destroyed by CAP. Only it doesn't seem to get added everytime it happens. I saw it when a search Judy was shot down, but not when a Mavis and Emily followed soon after.

Also nearly all of the units on the ground units destroyed screen have a buyback cost of "not defined" which doesn't seem to be WAD either.

After I suggested adding the hex for shot down search planes, it was pointed out that sometimes the crew will not be able to get off a message saying where they are so it should be random.

Regarding the buy-back not defined, if you click on a unit to just look at it (not to buy it!) then it defines the cost. I believe it would have slowed down that menu to generate the costs for all the units.
