Is there some difference between various Soviet airbase types? There seems to be no difference in their TOE, even if airbase have division designation (like IAD) and brigade designation (like IAB).

Does is matter what aircraft squadrons operate from each type?

Does it matter for example if I operate fighter unit out of bomber airfield (say BAD)?

Or if I operate division out of brigade airfield (like IAB)?

So far I was trying to stuff proper aircraft according to designation but I wonder if it make some sense...

Air base names matter only for partisan air supply - must be VVS or DBAD, AD ADD.
