How do you operate these against the soviet tanks? Even t26 seems to make mince meat out 38(t) and pz4. I scored numerous hits to t26 but they seem to be more resistant than I remember from other games.

Latest problem came in "Bear from Berlin" campaign. I flanked right with my pz2 and armored cars. And then in distance 45mm soviet ATG started firing together with T26. They started popping my tanks one by one while my 20mm couldnt scratch them. The scenario had only started and I allready felt defeated.

The only strategy I can make up is that I need to hide my tanks all the time and try to take enemy guns and tanks out with artillery instead. In the bear from berlin first scenario I should propably just sit behind the first forest and send my infantry through to spot the enemy units for artillery. It might take lots of time but there are no other options.

Keep your distance with your medium tanks, and don't move your light tanks to a location that's in sight of the Soviet tanks or AT guns.

At medium range (~500 meters), your tanks will still be reasonably accurate and as the Soviet 1930's tank variants don't have good armour, you can still destroy them at that range. Their 45mm's generally have a penetration of around 4-5 at that range, which is something up-armored German/Czech medium tanks can take. Your tanks will also generally fire first, and more often to begin with. Concentrate fire from multiple tanks on a single enemy tanks when you have a "poor" chance to hit, in other situations you can generally assign one target to each of your tanks.

With tanks with an armour rating of 3 or less, make sure firefights are short, not prolonged, and that your tanks shoot first, achieved by the enemy tanks moving in sight when your own tanks are stationary, or when you're attacking from a position that requires them to turn their turrets or the entire tank.

With T-34's and KV's, you have to play hide and seek to make sure your tanks open fire at short range, although you'll have an easier time taking them out with 50mm-equipped Panzer III's or Panzer IV's with HEAT ammo than with Czech tanks or 37mm-equipped Panzer III's.

If you are playing with a reactive phase retarget on to the sides of enemy tanks if you can. They won't normally react and turn toward your firing tanks in the reactive phase.

Is it possible to target certain parts of tanks for example tracks?

Not yet. At least not specifically. Tanks will take hits to the suspension though that could lead to immobilization.

Good Hunting.

No, but there was a discussion about in PC4 having the ability to target high or target low. Giving better chance of hitting a turret location or track location but lowering the overall chance of hit.
