I set the sliders for music and effects all the way to zero, yet menus continue to beep. A minor bug, but annoying nonetheless.

Well spotted, Tzven, I also noticed this but forgot to mention it and I don't think anybody else mentioned it by now.
And it's not a minor one. I mean, I don't want my co-workers to know when I'm checking my resources....they could sell this info to my enemies.

Well, not so much "solved". I knew about the application specific mixer settings, but it's a band-aid solution. This should still be considered a bug.
