Cool. At the moment I'm free the first few weekends of July. If you're up here permanently I do meet with a group of guys 1 Saturday a month in Hinckley for a day of wargaming.

Thanks, Robert! Just got off the phone with another recruiter who scheduled a preliminary interview with his group next Wednesday, immediately followed by a call to schedule a face to face with the first of my phone interview companies from this morning.

Something has shifted out there in the universe, and I can really feel things gathering speed in the right direction.

Yep, there are just as many stupid Americans travelling the world as stupid Brits... where do you think the term "ugly american" came from?

I was happy to notice that during my two month bike tour of western Europe back in '91 most people I ran into did not think I was from the US. Of course, then there were the racing fans from London that I met at LeMans who thought that I was a "hitman" - because I blended in so well with the locals and had no visible means of support.
