I'm looking at buying ATG as I enjoyed Peoples Tactics I. Without reading a boatload of posts whats the difference between AT and ATG? No flames please, just hoping for short bullet points.

More complex I'd say as you have Oil and Ore added to the game. So now you need supply (that's beans and bullets), oil (to keep your tanks running and planes flying) and ore (to build shiny things like the new Assault Gun or Heavy Guns). No ore = no tanks. That may sound simple, but early on in the game every ounce of ore counts. Same with oil, here you finally have a decent armoured tankgroup and you're gonna show that evil opponent of yours who is King, think you're gonna smack him around a bit... so you move your tankunits here and there... and nowhere cause all of a sudden your oilsupplies have dwindled faster than you've realized. Sure the amount of oil you have is displayed in the upperhalf of your screen, and the amount of oil you receive every turn... but watch it closely because a few moves with a large amoured group and attacks with bombers/fighters can cost you ... oh, 10.000 oil or so.
Well you'll learn eventually but it can come as a surprise the first couple of times.
Upgraded graphics, always nice.
The AI is upgraded too, I got clobbered a few times  (it still does a few weird things though, but I'm two patches behind )
So all in all IMHO a must buy for AT afficionados.

Biggest differences are that random games vs AI are much improved, but the new large WW2 scenarios are human only.

It depends what you mean by "large" (there ARE new ATG scenarios), but if you mean the new WW2 scenarios that use the oil rules, these are human vs human only. However the older WW2 scenarios are playable with ATG and WILL use the new interface and terrain, but not the oil and resources.

Bottom line is if you liked People's Tactics and you don't have AT, then ATG is a super buy.  If you already have AT then it's questionable and depends on exactly what you're looking for.  There is a mod for AT that improves random games and plenty of scenarios. But all that's included in ATG.

If you already own the original AT, you get a $15.00 discount when buying ATG.
