Hi,

Has anyone done any work on putting together a custom equipment file with missing current equipment like the Stryker, M1A2(SEP) and near future equipment like the GCV, MULE, JSF. I thought adding UAV's as light recon heli's might be nice, too. I downloaded the 3.44 update today. I coud swear my older version has the M1A2(SEP) in the equipment file.

I don't suppose it would be too difficult to do, but I don't really keep up on military tech too much any more and if someone has already done the leg work...

Thanks in advance.

WW

I have this one.I create new items in the new equipment section.

After download the file (equipment.txt) you must rename it by .zip (equipment.zip) and extract it.
NOTE: i download the file to check it and not need to rename it only extract.

If you want you can put Equipment.eqp file in AltGraphics directory to use the new database with any scenario (only a message appears when load a scenario), i respected the old structure of the database but T-64A dont exist

The changes that i made are: The entire database is revised, and corected for example:

a. Self Propelled Guns And mortars:
- Add shell weight to SP mortars (depending their caliber)

b. Rocket and Missiles
- Revised targeting and AT strenght
- Correct Scaleboard, Scaleboard 2 date

c. Reconnaissance Vehicles, Transport Vehicles
- Revised all vehicles to put or quit the recon or transpor characterist of the item and their correct AT,AP,AA value acording with their weapons.

d. Tanks, Anti tanks vehicles
- Revised year of introduction
- decrease armor of T-13, T-15, AMX-30, Type 74
- increase armor of Challenger 2
- Arjun is now composite armor
- Khalid is not laminate armor, only standart+reactive
- Revised AT,AP,AA values
- T-72S is a T-72 without compsite armor and NBC
- etc

e. Helicopters,Fixed wing
- Change range in some aircrafts

f. Some changes that i dont remember

g. New Equipment
- Add new or old equipment that not comes with the original database for example: AT-14 Kornet, Leopard 2(late), Challenger 2 with reactive amor, latest russia t-90AM or newest equipment like german Puma IFV, south korean K2 tank, F-35, Eurofighter, etc

Thank you very much. This appears to be exactly what I need. However, I can't get the file to download properly with the txt extension. Could you repost it as a zip?

Thank you,

WW

Hi
You must click on the attachment(1) link and then save the file (this file is a zip)and extract it. I do this and can download it.

But if you have problems i put the file in the following link of mediafire.

I was able to get the file from mediafire. It was absolutely what I was looknig for. Many thanks.

I don't know why I couldn't download the attachment. I can dl files here that have actually zip extensions, but this file only let me download a text file with no option to save as.

Regardless, I have the file and I am very appreciative!
