I have a track record of sticking with game until its obvious its over.... I go back to WITP and my two long term opponents have both got reasons why they have slowed down their rate of gaming - whilst I have just retired and therefore have more time on my hands.

I'm after another full scenario version 1 though I'd run with DaBabes if anyone wanted to have ago - not used it but its on my hard drive. I also like the beta version that is as yet unofficial.

For me its the journey not the end result that matters - so I'm after an opponent who likes to savour the clashes rather than go for an auto victory. I actually enjoy the challenge of the first year or so especially.

So are you a Jap who is after a game, who likes the idea of historical play and who would appreciate a turn a day if life allows, but is cool with the odd delay of a day or so here and there?

Happy to contemplate an AAR as well.

Drop me a line if interested - certain characters who are featuring with next to no postings on the forum need not apply!

I'd rate myself as a moderate player in WITP but am still learning a lot of the nuances of AE.

Ok lets see if anyone is interested - house rules can be discussed

Roger

Hey Roger, shame I already have a game going as I only live about 15 miles up the road from you!

I'm sure you will find a worthy opponent soon.....

Hi Roger

Id be inerested in DBB scenario, however I read you're looking for a JFB. If you are willing to play Jap id play you as AFB in DBB.

Cheers and looking forward to your response

Cantona I'd have been delighted to take you on, but I have an absolute aversion to the evil empire and anyway looks like I have a game.

if game goes awry let me know, i have space in the schedule and it sounds like your commitments to turns match mine - that and i have to play someone who not only quotes Terry Pratchett in their sig but finds a quote thats is so obviously apt!!!!

Lol, ok you are first on my dance card if another opportunity emerges.

Though I'd have real moral qualms about fighting another Pratchett fan.

Hey - good memory. Yes I graduated in December 2008. Not sure when we last spoke but I ended up doing a 15000 word dissertation on "The British Fleet in the Indian Ocean in the first half of 1942"! Not my pet subject but it was "suggested" to me by my professor. A good guy though, Andrew Lambert, he is on TV a lot on History Channel type stuff mainly on Nelson.

Toon Army season turned out okay. I was abroad in Jan/Feb and managed to see the Arsenal 4-4 draw live - what a come back and you were unlucky not to win it.

Wow is it that long ago we were on a WITP team game briefly? Time flies doesn't it?

As for football, well we are always optimistic up here - and always being disappointed,

Roger
