Made my decision the other day on eReaders....and i have to say....I LOVE my new Kindle DX.

OMG....this thing is great. Turns out too that the new DX is the only Kindle with the new improved contrast. I had thought the Kindle 3 had it as well but after comparing them, the DX's resolution/contrast is much sharper. Biggest selling point for me though was the new bigger size. I'm used to reading hardback size books so the 6inch reader won't do it for me (basically the size of a paperback)

The bigger keyboard makes it easy for me to type notes as well. My eyes are loving the no glare display

ok...in the "what have you done for me lately" category, the jigantes eek by the twins on timmy's arm...mowed down 12!!!
Warspite1

WTF!!!!!

[sigh] American baseball. The San Francisco Giants narrowly escaped with a victory over the Minnesota Twins. Pitcher Timmy (Lincicum) struck out twelve opposing batters in a solid pitching effort.
Warspite1

Nope, still no idea what you are both talking about - although if I remember correctly, when I was younger I had one of them, but the wheels fell off.

well, at least you tried, CB!

Never. We have all kinds of critters down there that we leave alone. They aren't hurting a thing. A family of six coons, vast amounts of deer, squirrels (sp?), rabbits, ONE roadrunner, skunks, fox, pheasants and quail we hunt, and geese and ducks on the pond.

HOWEVER, next time I see the badger down there I will blow it's brains out. Those are mean sobs....other than that, all of the other animals do not mess up a thing. Even the racoons. Everything is locked up in sheds they CANNOT get into, so they don't bother anything.

Rather peaceful to watch everything in the country.

Have you considered it from their point of view?

In order to do that, wouldn't one have to try to visualize their own head in their own ass? Where's the fun in that?

Sounds wonderful. Although I have little patience with Raccoons, they kept stealing my pogey bait while I was stationed at Ft. Drum. They actually would come into the tent or crawl into the vehicles and make off with whatever caught their eye.

Great....and here i was being told at the brewpub yesterday that I needed to stop sticking my nose in a book and wear a Harley Davidson leather vest, sunglasses and sit on a Hog in order to attract the womenfolk.......

Nope. You've got the myopic, geek-lovin' womenfolk swooning at that picture.

Except yer not sitting on a male porcine. Where's the fun in that?

Well my pub-buds did comment that the leather vest, sunglasses and harley davidson hat totally "transformed" my look. LoL. Used to get told the same thing back in the day when i'd do Theater.

That and/or it's the weight loss. Ex's are good for something after all.

You do look as though you've lost some weight, FWIW. How many pounds, Nik?

Don't know why, but Mrs. Chickenboy and I had a flashback from "Johnie Dangerously" a couple days ago. Roman Moroni's lines were classics. Still make me chuckle...

If your going to go veggie I recommend avoiding the foods that are pretending to be something else. It never works and can only disappoint.

So totally not true. That "cheese" powder in Mac N Cheese contains little resemblance to real cheese. Yet, both it and its cousin (Cheddar Cheese-flavored Ruffles Chips) are scrum-diddly-icious.

I would go so far as to say it contains no resemblence to real cheese but who cares? It's awesome. Big fan of the cheddar cheese ruffles as well.

Regurgitational memories of soy burgers from hs and college however.

Powdered ersatz cheese, meh. I was thinking more of the fake ribs made from tofu or when folks try and blend cauliflower into a low carb mashed potato substitute. Blech...

Yup, tofu ribs are particularly disgusting.
