I bought the game on CD/Box on 4-23-07 and just read an article about a new patch. I decided to load it up and check out the new stuff.

NOT!!!!

My CD is damaged and won't load. I still have the Serial Numer and Order number and so forth. Is there a place I can download the game and then just key in my serial number/Order number?

Note: I've purchased a number of other Matrix games over the years but this one doesn't show up on my "online" purchases like some of the recent ones do...is the purchase just too long ago to show up? Something like that?

Anyway...any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

Okay. I think I have a solution.

I pulled up my old email purchase confirmation from Digital River and followed the instructions. I digitally downloaded the game and applied the recent patch.

The moral of the story: Never delete old emails that involve purchases...even ones that are many years old.

By the way. The purchase price was $49.99 to which a License Certificate of $3.99 was added and to which an extended download service of $3.99 was also added and to which a shipping charge of $8.15 was charged. Wow.

The grand total was $62.13 for this game. Not cheap. I can tell you, I would have been very angry if something prevented the re-download.

Anyway, it seems that everything has worked out well. Now if I can get the game to run on Windows 7 (seems fine so far) I will be happy.

Wow. That was expensive. I inherited CDs from three previous releases. The original. War Game of the Year and Century of War. Might as well be used for coasters.
